Vanguard's Alta Pro 2+ 263AB100 Aluminum-Alloy Tripod Kit weighs 29.0 pounds and sustains up to 15.4 lbs "with a QS-60 V2 Quick Release Plate and an Alta BH-100 Arca-type compatible ball head when folded. Its three separate legs each have independent spreads and twist locks for quick deployment. By tightening or loosening the clamp's knurled, locking knob, the quick release plate can be fastened to or released from the integrated clamp that is situated at the top of the head's ball-and-socket joint.
