The GoPro HERO8 Black is a versatile next-generation action camera that is designed to capture smooth, stable footage of your latest adventure, from a straightforward boat trip to a wild jump-off-a-mountain ride. It adds to the company's already impressive line of action cameras. Without the use of a gimbal, the HERO8 Black's improved HyperSmooth 2.0 stabilisation creates fluid, gimbal-like movement at all supported frame rates. A free, downloadable programme lets you utilise the HERO8 Black as a camera on your PC. Other improvements include a more streamlined physical design with a "folding fingers" type base for quick mounting, a redesigned battery door for quicker battery changes, a lens with twice the impact resistance as the HERO7, an optional Battery Mod for nearly 2.5x more battery life, an optional flip-up Display Mod to make viewing your frame easier, an optional LED Light Mod, and an optional Media Mod to expand your accessory options.
The GoPro HERO8 Black enables time-lapse, up to 1080p240 slow motion, and super-slow motion footage in addition to up to UHD 4K video capabilities. With the enhanced SuperPhoto with HDR capability, still photographs may be taken in bursts of up to 30 images per second with resolutions of up to 12MP, which helps to lessen blur and enhance detail in low-light conditions. To capture and edit up to 4K time-lapses at night, it also has an enhanced Night-Lapse mode. In order to give you additional options for the ideal frame, the LiveBurst function allows you to capture 1.5 seconds before and after your photo. There are now four options for the lens's field of view (FOV): Narrow, Linear at 24.4mm, Wide at 16.5mm, and SuperView at 15.1mm.
The HERO8 Black allows direct streaming to Facebook Live, just like its predecessor. It's also waterproof to 33', suiting it for surfing, snorkelling, and swimming activities. For additional water support and even deeper underwater activities down to 196', supplementary floats and housings are offered. When your hands are busy, you can still quickly and easily use the HERO8 Black thanks to the touchscreen because it recognises 15 voice commands in over 10 languages and dialects. Selfies are simple to take with the HERO8 because all you have to say is "GoPro, take a photo" and it will use your existing settings.
