The Opera 16-28 mm F2.8 FF is a super wide zoom lens that includes a super wide angle at 16mm along side a traditional wide angle at 28mm. It renders a full wide angle coverage to photographers, at the same time as the use of just one lens. It has superior resolving ability coupled with high-contrast and beautiful bokeh. This is a fast, precise and accurate lens engineered for the photographers who are specialised in street photography, landscape, interior architecture, environmental style portraits, documentaries, night sky, time lapse and other such photography genres.
This lens is suitable for landscape shooting and BW photography. It is engineered to realise high level of contrast and wealthy colour gradation in the images. It has a bulb like front element that contributes to low distortion and low light falloffs. It offers superior colour to allow photographers to capture natural scenery in wealthy colours without the use of a CPL filter. The built-in hood petals will also serve as a protection against accidental damage of the front-element.
The sophisticated optical construction of the lens has 15 elements arranged in 13 groups. Out of which 3 are aspherical type including a large P-MO aspherical element, the other three are composed of super low-dispersion (SD) elements for effective suppression of chromatic and spherical aberrations.
The One-touch Center of attention Grasp Mechanism is designed to allow photographers to switch effortlessly between AF and MF modes. The switching action is initiated by snapping the point of interest ring forward for AF and back to towards the lens mount for manual focusing.
