The Opera 16-28 mm F2.8 FF is a super wide zoom lens that includes a super wide angle at 16mm together with a traditional wide angle 28mm. It renders a full wide angle coverage to photographers, whilst the usage of just one lens. It has superior resolving ability coupled with high-contrast and beautiful bokeh. This can be a fast, precise and accurate lens engineered for the photographers who are specialised in street photography, landscape, interior architecture, environmental style portraits, documentaries, night sky, time lapse and other such photography genres.
The bulb-like front element contributes to low distortion and low light fall-off. The superior colour rendering of the lens will allow the photographer to capture nature scenery in rich colours without the usage of a CPL filter. The built-in hood petals will also serve as a protection from accidental damage of the front element.
The lens contains a complex optical design comprising of 15 elements in 13 groups. Three of the lens elements are of aspherical type including large aspherical P-MO element. The other three are glass Low-Dispersion (SD) elements built for effective suppression of chromatic and spherical aberrations.
The one –touch focal point clutch mechanism allows photographers to switch seamlessly between AF and MF modes by just snapping the focal point ring. It must be snapped forward for AF and back towards the lens mount for manual focusing.
The lens is designed keeping in mind the comfort and confidence of the photographer all over shooting. It comes in a sophisticated, gorgeous yet simple and slim housing together with well-balanced zoom and focal point rings arrangements. It can make the photographer get involved in the shooting process with passion once he/she holds it in the hand. It uses a silent drive module that allows it to focal point fast and quietly. The motor together with the GMR magnetic AF sensor work in unison to increase AF speed and accuracy.
